Chef Judy Wood is one of the owners of Meez Fast Home Cuisine as well as it's CCO ("Chief Culinary Officer"). Chef Judy creates and tests all of the dishes on our menu.

After receiving her "Grand Diplome" from the famed L'École de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris, France, Chef Judy began her career in the culinary arts at the Four Seasons Hotel in Calgary; then as a pastry chef at the David Wood Food Shop in Toronto; and then worked as the Head Chef at Buchanan's Chop House in Calgary.
In 1990, Judy joined Sunterra Food group as Executive Chef and Creative Director of "all things food." In 1998, she became Founder and Executive Chef of the successful Savoury Cafe and Catering. Judy received the Woman of Vision Award in 1999.
Currently, Chef Judy Wood is featured weekly as the Saturday Morning Chef on Global Calgary's Saturday Morning News. Judy is also a proud member of The Chixx, Calgary's all-women cooking consortium made up of the authors of Dishing: Calgary Women Cook and Double Dishing. Dishing was nominated for Cookbook of the Year by Cuisine Canada.
Judy travels to France every spring and Italy each fall teaching Calgarians about the regional cuisine. It is on these trips abroad, most notably to France, that Chef Judy has become affectionately known as "The Butter Bully". She also teaches a number of classes throughout the year at both The Cookbook Co. and in the Lakeview Kitchen Studio at Meez Fast Home Cuisine.
For Judy, opening peoples minds to new food experiences is a passion. It is her goal to reconnect all of her guests, students, friends, and customers with the Joy of Eating.
